In Port Royale 3, players will embark on an epic adventure across the Caribbean during the turbulent 17th century, as the naval powers of Spain, England, France, and the Netherlands all battle for control of the colonies. Players assume the role of a young captain trying to build their fortune and reputation in the New World colonies. The campaign consists of two distinct paths that the young hero can follow: Adventurer and Trader. Following the Adventurer path will guide the player towards a seaborne conquest, where they must earn fame through raids, piracy, bounty hunting, plunder, and the occupation of cities as they seek to build their new empire in the Caribbean.
