: During the game, players gradually learn the secrets of Kyrat. Thanks to its specific location, the fictional country offers a variety of interesting locations—from snowy mountain roads to dense forests, as well as cities, ancient ruins, and more. During the game, players can freely navigate the territory of the Himalayan country, which represents a large, open map. Players can also use various means of transportation. Furthermore, the protagonist can engage in meditations that can transport them to a fictional land called Shangri-La.
While participating in the campaign, players complete story missions, as well as various side quests and optional tasks such as clearing checkpoints, time trials, or hunting wild animals. It is an FPS production, so players can use a rich arsenal of weapons, from simple pistols to heavy machine guns. There are also various types of daggers, knives, and bows.
