Many of the developers from the original game are actively working on the reboot. The new Amplitude will be treated like a classic album, a sci-fi concept. There is a narrative that runs throughout the game, expressed in many ways through the visuals, music, and lyrics. Players will race down long, winding tracks composed of the song's various musical elements. Each track is highlighted by musical sounds from synthesizers, drums, voices, and bass. As players blast gem patterns on these tracks, they release musical energy and recreate the song hidden within. The gameplay remains easy to understand and challenging to master.
