Movement is Life Information
Tired of standing still while enemies attack you? Tired of having to navigate VR like an idiot? Ever wish you could
just move around
in VR without having to lie down? Well, we have some good news for you.
We built STRAYLIGHT around the Fling Engine, a new way of moving in VR that's completely comfortable even for those who've never experienced VR before, and without any of the dizziness or nausea that typical VR movement can cause. But wait, you say, only a few people experience discomfort in VR, regardless of the game! Well, yes, unfortunately, that's true. But hundreds and hundreds of people who've never experienced VR before experienced no discomfort while playing STRAYLIGHT and had
a blast
doing it. It's real!
In STRAYLIGHT, you can throw yourself around like a crazy space monkey, and it won't make your favorite aunt dizzy.
That's cool, but what's the game?
The goal in STRAYLIGHT is simple: reach the end. But to do that, you'll need to
fly
. You'll need to dodge, swing, and soar, avoiding deadly obstacles by the narrowest of margins. You'll need to react faster than you can think, finding your own path through these beautiful and dangerous cosmic gardens.
STRAYLIGHT is about flow, about mastering the Fling Engine to become an unstoppable space ninja; about achieving that perfect run and reaching the end without dying once. It's about swinging around a deadly crystal ball just in time to avoid a spinning deadly crystal ring, and bragging about your triumph. It's also about dying, over and over again, until it becomes transcendent. It's about telling those who say you can't move in VR 'Oh yeah? Watch
this
