Inspired by the graphic novel of the same name, the game uses a unique "hand-drawn" graphics system using cel-shading technology, redesigned from the ground up. XIII also features fierce multiplayer combat.
After the assassination of President Sheridan, the entire country is in shock. You wake up on a deserted beach on the East Coast and realize you've been infected and have lost your memory. The only clues to your identity are a tattoo bearing the number XIII next to your collarbone and a key to a storage room. Your memory fails you—but you discover you have the skills of a trained professional fighter. You embark on a journey to uncover the secret of your past, and along the way, you discover your role in the assassination of the President of the United States, unraveling the most astonishing conspiracy in the country's history.
