When you begin the game, you are a two-year-old gray wolf born in the northern reaches of Yellowstone National Park. You've learned the ways of the wolf in the pack you were born into. Now it's time to learn how to survive on your own. Your journey begins on the slopes of Amethyst Mountain and eventually takes you through Lamar Valley to Slough Stream. There, you and your partner will establish territory and raise a litter of pups: training them, feeding them, defending them from predators, and finally taking them on a cross-country trek to a summer home. Ultimately, your success will depend on your ability to ensure the survival of your pack.
