As young pilot Bess, the player embarks on adventures to rescue her kidnapped father when their plane crashes into a castle in the clouds. The player uses PlayStation Move controllers to direct Bess to where she needs to go next. Alternatively, the player can jump into Bess's level to interact with nearby puzzle elements. (If the player doesn't have a Move controller, a standard DualShock 4 controller also works.) Polygon likened the gameplay to playing with action figures, with the occasional opportunity to directly interact with their puzzles.
