Now, all the action, adventure, and drama associated with "Way of the Samurai" comes to PC, continuing the series' combination of customization, exploration, action gameplay, and quirky humor.
"Way of the Samurai 4" takes place in the small town of Amihama during the mid-19th century, several years after the arrival of the "Black Ships" from the West ended Japan's long history of cultural isolation. Amihama's downtown area is slowly being transformed into a "Little Britain," complete with European-style buildings, occupied by an influx of adventurous foreign settlers. However, not everyone welcomes these new residents, and three distinct factions with opposing ideas begin to form.
You must assume the role of a masterless samurai seeking to prove himself in this conflicted land of opportunity and uncertainty. It's up to you to decide which faction to support in a great conflict between the region's three powers, thereby directing the course of Japan's history.
Will you aid the shogunate in its attempts to maintain peace and establish friendly relations with foreigners? Will you aid the isolated nationalists in their attempts to negate this potential threat to the Japanese way of life? Or will you ally with foreigners guided by the British Navy in their attempts to establish the silk trade and promote cultural exchange?
Who will you support? Who will you betray? Be the ultimate bastion of virtue or the ultimate disgrace of humanity, and do it however you want. The choice is entirely yours...Minimum
