As a young girl, Xi Niu witnessed her parents brutally murdered by a man in a golden mask. She vows revenge, one way, any way... 10 years later, she receives an unexpected offer to be a courtesan at the palace. She seizes the opportunity, as it offers a way to locate the man in the golden mask.
But life isn't simple in the palace. It's a pit of mystery and politics, and one wrong move could mean death. Xi Niu will need to learn how to play the game to survive. Can this country girl navigate the dangerous waters of the palace to exact her revenge?
