40 miles below the Earth's surface, a research facility and refinery have been compromised. Attempts to establish contact with the facility have failed. The status of all fifteen workers inside is unknown. Valvorta Industries, the controversial energy company responsible for the site, must maintain secrecy. In response, the Valvorta board of directors decides to send an engineering specialist to assess the situation. The mission is simple: retrieve information, restore production from the facility, and rescue the workers trapped underground.
Movement through the facility will not be easy. Broken systems make descending nearly impossible. The extreme temperatures and lack of breathable oxygen require the use of a specialized suit. You'll need a keen eye to locate any tools, elevators, documents, or devices scattered throughout the facility, and a brilliant mind to put them to use. Extra attention must be paid to maintaining your suit's battery and air levels if you want to survive. To facilitate your task, your suit provides a gauge of your current status, a log of any documents you find scattered, magnetic shoe connections for vertical and inverted movement, and instant communication with all stations, which require basic programming skills.
