Deep in the heat of the Mayan jungle, hidden among the Inca ruins, Ernesto Cruz takes a few moments to breathe and admire his work, as bodies lie strewn across the temple ruins, while making a last-ditch effort to board a DEA plane to take him to safety. He never returns home, a tragic victim of an alleged "overdose." Two weeks later, Ernesto's son, Ramiro Cruz, is brought out of prison by the DEA to learn that his twin brother, Tommy, is working for them as an undercover agent and has some new information about their father's death. However, Tommy has had an accident with a grenade, and now Ramiro must take his brother's place on a covert operation that closes in on the ruthless drug cartel leader, Papa Mort.
