Tom Rider: Unfinished Business
, also known as Tomb Rider Gold[1], is a standalone expansion to the original Tomb Rider, released in 1998, shortly after the release of Tomb Rider III, for Windows and, for the first time, for Macintosh. This version included the regular game plus four new bonus levels in two additional chapters. These levels were created at Eidos' San Francisco office by Phil Campbell, Rebecca Sherrin, and Gary Larochère. The first chapter of the game is set in Egypt, and takes place several months after the events of Tomb Rider. The story sees Lara return to the city of Khamon to investigate a mysterious statue of the Egyptian goddess Bast. This leads her to discover a brand new temple dedicated to the goddess of cats, which includes a massive golden statue several stories high. The second chapter takes place before the events of the first chapter—literally right after the events of Tomb Rider. This chapter begins with Lara sliding down the same slope as in the final level of the original game, and ends with her destroying the last remnants of the Atlantean race.
