1933, Berlin. You are the leader of a small resistance group of mostly ordinary people—Jews, Catholics, communists, and nationalists—who simply cannot turn a blind eye to what is happening. Your mission is to deliver small blows to the regime: distribute leaflets to tell people what the Nazis are really doing; write messages on walls; organize sabotage; obtain information and recruit new accomplices. At the same time, do not give up on yourself: if the regime finds out about your group, the life of every one of its members will be in danger.

Through the Darkest Times is a historical strategy game that focuses on the resistance movement during the darkest period of history and the real lives of ordinary people in the Third Reich. Historical accuracy means that your small group will not change the outcome of the war or prevent all Nazi atrocities. However, you can do everything you can to save as many lives as possible and resist the regime at every opportunity.
