Description: A quest game released in 1990. Later, a whole series of humorous games "Monkey Island" was created based on this game. According to the plot of the game, a young man with the funny name Guybrush Threepwood ends up on the Caribbean island of Meley, dreaming of becoming a pirate.
As an initiation into their ranks, the pirates give him three tasks - to find a hidden treasure, steal a rare idol from the island's ruler's house, and duel with the Blade Master. In the process of completing the tasks, the young man falls in love with the ruler herself, Elaine Marley. When the apprentice pirate completes his third mission, he learns that Elaine has been kidnapped by a ghost and taken to Monkey Island.
Guybrush quickly assembles a team of three of the same men, buys a ship, and sets sail in search of his beloved. After finding the island, he meets a hermit who was shipwrecked earlier and a tribe of cannibals. His new acquaintances will provide significant support in the fight against the evil spirit that kidnapped the beautiful ruler. Gameplay
