Information:
Historian Thomasina Bateman is writing a book about the hills of England, documenting the treasures she finds buried within. When an exciting letter summons her to a small village called Beauly, hidden in the remote countryside, she sets off by train with her assistant one day.
When she arrives, however, there's no sign of the mysterious man who summoned her. Her assistant never showed up. A stubborn landowner refuses access to the hill, and the locals are wary of this woman traveling alone and (shock!) wearing trousers.
The excavation of Hope's Cemetery gets off to a rocky start. And then Thomasina begins having strange dreams...
