Tales of Destruction is a first-person survival shooter. TOD contains six maps, where players are portrayed as soldiers and must search for treasure.
In TOD, you are tasked with finding treasure and killing anyone who stands in your way. With a limit of 3-4 respawn locations within each map, death is never an option. There are collectible items in the game, such as ammo and health replenishment packs. The player has two different weapons: a laser rifle and a lava launcher.
There is no storyline; the goal is to find the treasure. Upon completion of a mission, the player reloads to the main menu where they can choose another mission.
