Edo is now a very different place from modern Japan, where tradition still rules over the people and their leaders. Over time, samurai have been granted increasing levels of authority by the Council of Nobles and their leader, the Lord Regent.
This led to the creation of a special unit of samurai known as "Justice." Although members are appointed by the Council, they remain an independent unit, able to investigate and adjudicate any threat or crime they find. It is their duty to safeguard continuity and protect the people. But Edo is not a land of peace and abundance; conflicts exist in all corners of the once mighty empire. Rival factions constantly fight for territory and power, while rebellions grow from within. Minimum
