Strangeland is a place unlike any other. Even in the real world, circuses rank between the fantastic and the ordinary, the strange and the familiar. In the haunted house's mirrors, their monsters, and their swindlers, we see gruesome and terrifying reflections of ourselves, and we witness the wonder and horror of humanity in a few tattered tents, aging circus wagons, rickety stalls, and crumbling rides. Strangeland, of course, isn't necessarily the real world. In fact, figuring out where—and who—you are is just one of the game's many mysteries. As
you explore Strangeland, you'll need to gather uncanny tools and gain strange allies to overcome a terrifying array of obstacles. Forge a sword from iron stolen from the jaws of a hungry hound and sharpen it with rage and grief; Pull the eye from a ten-legged monster; ride a giant cicada to the brink of oblivion... Amid this madness, death touches you, and you will use that slippery immortality to gain an advantage over your opponents.
Navigating this realm of monsters and symbols will require understanding its inhabitants and its mysteries.
