: As cars became more prevalent on city streets, the Rover appeared. This metal vehicle with adaptable legs could be modified to suit a variety of road conditions and purposes: agriculture, civil engineering, and transportation. The Industrial Revolution continued, increasing the popularity of the Rover. People placed their hopes and dreams on the backs of these remarkable machines, heading toward a better life beyond their reach. The Vanilla wakes up to find himself lying on a sunny beach. How did he get there? And who is the girl standing over him? The girl quickly introduces herself as Connie, and the Vanilla embarks on the first busy day of a great adventure. He takes Connie home, meets the members of her band (the Gulptrotters Garland), and explores the city of Neverburg. At the end of this busy day, the Vanilla relaxes in the city square as the Gulptrotters perform, only to witness a gang of thieves attack the city! How things go from here depends on the player. Will the Vanilla join the Gulptrotters Garland? Or will he join the Killer Elephant Gang? The choices Vanilla makes, the vehicles he builds, and the friends he keeps all depend on the players who participate in Steamboat's adventures.
