While maintaining the traditional point-and-click gameplay of the original adventure games, "The Awakened" has been completely redesigned, offering players a new third-person perspective while also maintaining the original first-person perspective.
The game places the player in the context of an investigation into the myth of Cthulhu—as imagined by author H. B. Lovecraft. Sherlock Holmes, aided by the faithful Dr. Watson, investigates strange disappearances that seem linked to the activity of a secret cult. The adventure begins in London, on the famous Baker Street, and takes us to investigate a disturbing psychiatric hospital near Basel, Switzerland, then to Louisiana and finally to Scotland.
