The game recreates the campaigns and battles of Erwin "The Desert Fox" Rommel's famous Army Africa in Libya between 1941 and 1942. Play as the Axis forces to win the most valuable prize: the Suez Canal. Or command the soldiers of the Eighth Army, the famous Desert Rats, to repel the invaders.
Army Africa contains several scenarios, covering different periods of the war in the North African desert in Libya and Egypt, from 1940 until the end of 1942. Small scenarios cover the famous battles of Operations Crusader or Battle X, or the fight for the El Alamein Campaign. Medium-sized campaigns deal with the Italian Operation E of 1940, the failed invasion of Egypt, and the O'Connor Counter-Offensive. A second campaign begins in the spring of 1941 when Army Africa first arrives, while a third covers the war from 1942 onwards. Finally, the grand campaign scenario will let you command Rommel or the Commonwealth forces from El Agaila in 1941 to El Alamein at the end of 1942. Minimum
