Warring States period to the present day, mysterious shinobi have fought in secret across Japan. Some fight for the authorities, others for the highest bidder, but they all have one thing in common: they fight bravely and know how to look good doing it.
SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS directly follows the events of SENRAN KAGURA Burst, revisiting the intense rivalry between the Hanzō National Academy girls and their declared enemies from the secret Hebijo Girls Academy, who have now gone underground and formed a mercenary strike team known as the Homura Crimson Squad. In addition to their old rivals, the Hanzō girls must face an entirely new set of foes: the students of Geisen Girls Academy, who seek to punish them for their shortcomings as shinobi warriors. Meanwhile, there's a new semester at Hebijou Academy, and these students mean business: They oppose all three rival factions and will stop at nothing to be the last shinobi team standing—even if it means leaving broken bodies and shattered dreams in their wake.
The stage is set for a shinobi battle royale. Heroes and rebels battle saints and sinners in a storm of hands, feet, clothes, the remains of those clothes, and sometimes even underwear.
