Information:
Play as Shaggy or Scooby and try to defeat the Ghost Virus in Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase on PlayStation. Released in conjunction with the film of the same name, this seven-stage, multi-level adventure puts the Mystery Kingdom gang in the middle of cyberspace, where they face off against villains and tricksters in their attempt to find the Ghost Virus. From the control room, players can access the areas of Japan, Ancient Rome, the Arctic Circle, Prehistoric Jungle, Big City, Egypt, and Amusement Park. Each area consists of three levels, including a boss level, but initially, only Japan is accessible, with other areas becoming available as the game progresses. Each area alternates between Shaggy and Scooby as the controlling character. Shaggy and Scooby encounter enemies and bosses appropriate to each area along the way, while defending themselves by collecting and throwing pies at their enemies. Villains include ninjas and samurai in Japan, dinosaurs and crocodiles in the prehistoric jungle, and clowns performing stunts and rabbits carrying carrots in the amusement park. The final stage is where the final confrontation with the Ghost Virus occurs. Items collected along the way include Scooby Meals that will earn you an extra chance for every 100 collected, health-boosting burgers, occasional extra chance tokens, and pancakes to throw at enemies. There's also an on-screen icon resembling a phone that serves as a means of communication between Shaggy, Scooby, and the rest of the gang. When it flashes, hints and tips are offered from Daphne, Velma, or Fred.
