: This hero-centric epic highlights the samurai who shaped the Sengoku era and tells their stories through 13 exciting new chapters. These chapters revolve around nine characters introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, three fan-favorite characters from previous titles, and an entirely new addition to the samurai roster. This game tells stories not told in "Samurai Warriors 4" from the characters' perspectives, rather than the previous title's focus on different regions and clans at the time. Drawing on some of the new characters introduced in "Samurai Warriors 4" as well as other popular characters, this title depicts these characters' stories, enabling players to experience the untold stories behind the drama of that era. In addition to the exciting battlefield gameplay the series is known for, more strategic elements have been added to make gameplay more tactical than ever. From super attacks that are ineffective while in red zones to an increased focus on morale and improved AI patterns for enemy soldiers and officers, a greater emphasis has been placed on tactical gameplay across all areas of the game. Furthermore, the action scenes that form the backbone of the story, along with the background environments, camera work, and effects, have heightened the dramatic aspects of the game, allowing for a story with more passion and depth.
