Roses and Gems is about avoiding the inevitable: death. Build your fortress, castle, or small cottage and wait for the night when horrific "harmless" creatures will come, destroy your home, and kill you. Then start over! As your trap-making and fighting skills improve, you'll survive longer. Will you dig underground for better materials, or will you just build with wood and stone? Will you prioritize trade, or create the perfect defense system? Eventually, you'll die, and your home will be destroyed, but what you do until then is up to you!
Is fighting not your thing? Build traps! Are traps not your thing? Kill enemies in your own ways and show these clever builders what true power is! Ultimately, you have two goals: protecting yourself and the machine. Legend says that if the machine is destroyed, the world will explode! It's a shame that legends are always true, aren't they?
