Once every 300 years, the Rise of Morastrum—an event in which a dark star blocks out the sun—threatens the existence of our world. All who are born in that year are doomed to perish before its end. Whether human or animal, they stand no chance of survival.
However, there came a time when a lone child survived. Enchanted with the power of death, he used it to rule the world. He became known as the Great Demon. However, one day, he simply disappeared.
Another 300 years passed, and once again a child defied his destiny. She did not succumb to the same forces that controlled the Great Demon, and became known as the Spirit Mother.
Nearly two decades have passed since Morastrum's last ascension, and nearly 300 years since the Spirit Mother's appearance. Humanity now stands at a turning point between hope and despair.
