Quake II RTX is based on the work of Christoph Schied and a team at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, who added ray tracing to Quake II to create Q2VKPT (in turn based on the Q2PRO codebase). NVIDIA introduced new path-based visual effects, improved text effects, and made numerous other changes and improvements, resulting in an experience that rivals today's games and pushes your RTX hardware to the limit.Minimum
