In the 22nd century, humans developed the technology that made manned missions to other planets a reality. Following these developments, the United Nations spearheaded a treaty, signed by governments around the world, to begin investing in building settlements on our nearest planets as a means of addressing the problems of overpopulation and natural resource shortages on Earth.
The treaty was successful and spawned the program, called Project: Settlements, with inhabited settlements on several planets, the first being Project: Mars, followed by Project: Venus and Project: Jupiter.
After being unresponsive for several weeks, the first settlement sent a distress signal to the UN on Earth, which, in response, dispatched a group of elite, enhanced Space Marines, led by Lieutenant Anna "Thirteen" Charlotte, to locate the source of the signal and determine what had happened to the settlement.
Inspired by the great hallmarks of the Metroidvania franchise (such as Super Metroid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and Guacamole!), players use their enhanced abilities to navigate the large, connected world of the settlement while fighting fierce enemies and challenging bosses using close-quarters and ranged combat techniques.Minimum
