Pitfall 3D is a 3D platformer
where players guide Pitfall Harry Jr. (son of the original Pitfall! hero, voiced by B-movie king Prince Campbell) through a wide variety of environments, ranging from the South American jungle to the ruins of the Moco civilization located beyond a dimensional rip. Some old obstacles and enemies make a comeback, such as pools of tar that can open up beneath Harry and swallow him whole, the ever-present scorpions, and old favorites like rolling logs and helpful vines, which can be found scattered throughout the jungle. But there are new dangers as well, including evil flying drones, and new wonders to see, such as the gravity-defying Lucien. Harry Jr. transcends the same way his father did—he can dodge out of the way, leap over obstacles, and slash at attackers with his trusty axe. The goal is to guide Harry Jr. through 11 levels, trying to discover what happened to the Moco civilization, and finally confront the powerful enemy Scourge, who is holding this alternate dimension hostage. Oh, and Harry might want to collect some treasure along the way, too—just like his dear old dad. This mysterious land, once inhabited by an evil Temptress... now her next target is Earth, and Harry must defeat her army of evil creatures to save it! A Next-Generation Adventure Swing on vines, leap over acid-filled pools, skirt melting platforms, avoid scorpions, and face new traps, like energy fields and shapeshifting monsters. Real 360º Exploration: Crawl through city ruins, traverse an active volcano, and escape a prison colony before the final battle in the Scourge's lair. Deadly Power and Actions: Attack real-time 3D creatures with unprecedented weapons and power-ups, and use quick movements to dodge enemies that spawn from the ground.
