Phantom Abyss is an asynchronous massively multiplayer game
that drops players into procedurally generated temples and tasks them with retrieving sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Brave adventurers will avoid numerous hidden traps, leap over dangerous obscurities, and evade the necessary guards through branching paths until a relic is captured or until they are overwhelmed by death devices. Be warned, you only have one attempt at each temple, and failure or settling for lesser relics means you will never see that temple again...
Savvy players will use the shadow-running of other players' failed attempts to their advantage and avoid the mistakes that led to their own doom. Once the legendary relics at the bottom of each temple are found, the temple disappears forever and becomes the prized trophy of the skilled adventurer.
Asynchronous Multiplayer:
Explore the dangerous halls and vast chambers of each temple alongside the ghosts of players who have fallen before you, leveraging their successes and failures to progress deeper than they ever hoped. Watch and learn from the mistakes of up to 20 ghosts, including your Steam friends, who have attempted the same temple and seized their whips as they fell.
Unlock More Dangerous Floors:
Retrieve keys from chests to unlock deeper, deadlier sections of the temple containing more coveted relics. The harder the relics are to obtain, the greater the reward—the final Legendary Relic of a temple allows you to claim the entire temple so that it disappears forever.
Boons from the Gods:
As adventurers progress through the temple, offerings can be made from the collected treasure at altars to obtain new boons for the rest of the run. Collect as much treasure as possible to appease the gods and gain a double jump, a hover jump, extended glide, damage protection, and more!Minimum
