Silent Hills (
PT) (short for "Playable") is a first-person psychological horror video game developed by Kojima Productions, under the pseudonym "7780s Studio," and published by Konami. The game was directed and designed by Hideo Kojima, in collaboration with film director Guillermo del Toro. Released for the PlayStation 4 on August 12, 2014, as a free download on the PlayStation Network, PT served as an interactive experience for Silent Hills, a canceled installment in the Silent Hill series. Following its cancellation, Konami removed PT from the PlayStation Store and removed the ability to reinstall the game, a decision that later sparked criticism and fan efforts to allow PT to be reloaded. [1] PT received critical acclaim for its direction, visuals, story complexity, and supernatural horror tension-building, but it was also criticized and praised for its puzzles and solutions.
