Description:
Silent Hills (literally from English Silent Hills) is the ninth installment in the Silent Hill video game series, developed by Kojima Productions under the direction of Hollywood director Guillermo del Toro and game designer Hideo Kojima. The main character was created using the likeness of actor Norman Reedus. The game was built on the Fox Engine. A demo for the project, called PT, shown at Gamescom 2014 in Cologne, told the story of an unnamed protagonist who gets stuck in a time loop in a house haunted by ghosts.


The release of the playable trailer received universal acclaim from critics, who praised the game's claustrophobic atmosphere, hypnotic immersion, and realistic graphics. PT. was downloaded over a million times. However, internal strife at Konami led to Kojima's dismissal and the severing of ties with other key development figures. The game was eventually canceled by the publisher, causing widespread discontent among players.
