But Out There Somewhere is no ordinary game: it's a platformer with a sly twist and a truly shocking difficulty curve. It's a platformer that has one very late level, for example, that has no platforms at all—just an empty void and a door near the ceiling. This is challenging stuff, but it's wonderfully inventive, and I'm not sure I can recommend it enough.
