It is a foggy evening in 1912. The Patersons, a poor but proud aristocratic family of the British nobility, and some of their closest friends, arrive at Malachi Castle, the seat of a wealthy Roman count. There are only three days left until the family's eldest daughter, Rebecca, marries the count's son, uniting the family with the rich Malachi family heritage, hoping to restore its glory.
The only one missing is you, the bride's brother, who is on your way from Stockholm, where you defended the Union Jack in the noble art of fencing at the Olympics. You are scheduled to arrive later that evening.
Sir Paterson is disappointed when the Count does not greet the family upon their arrival, but still allows the servants to show them to their rooms, without complaining too loudly. Not until later, when the doors slam shut and lock behind them, does he realize his mistake: they've become prisoners at the Count's mercy...
