Your world is engulfed in madness when a mysterious and deadly fog surrounds Shin-Mikado Academy. To save your friends, you enter the Otherworld, a demon-infested dimension beyond the real world. Within this mysterious realm, you must learn to harness the power of your Ego and summon a legion of demonic spirits, whose strength is derived from their master's selfishness. Develop your Ego through various psychic tests to enhance the power of your demonic spirits, and lead your forces into battle to fight for or against the seven "Pledge Bearers" corrupting the academy. Embrace the power of your madness to gain strength, but be careful not to dive too far, lest you risk losing yourself. Your fellow students and teachers will aid you in your quest to solve the anomalies on campus.
