Well, it's simple. There's a WiiU emulator, called Cemu, that makes WiiU games playable on Windows. Cemu is constantly being improved, supported by contributors on Patreon, so anyone can expect a more powerful, more compatible, and much faster WiiU emulation in the near future.
But for now, with Cemu v1.7.5d, you can play Mario Kart 8 on your computer, if it doesn't have a calculator. A quad-core processor and a good graphics card are highly recommended. Just download this version, install it like you would any other PC game, and launch it from the desktop icon created by the installer. New versions of Cemu are released on the official Cemu website:http://cemu.info. If you become a Patreon patron, you'll get access to early beta versions before the public release.
The current version of Cemu allows you to play Mario Kart 8, but there are bugs (such as flickering and sound errors) and performance isn't the best. With upcoming updates to Cemu, simply unzip the new version to the "cemu" folder, keeping the keys.txt and settings.bin files in case needed. A shadow cache is included in this performance-enhancing version.
