In the game, the player takes control of a female bull shark ,
who must evolve and survive in an open world so that she can take revenge on a hunter who mutilated her as a pup and killed her mother.
The shark must hunt and consume other aquatic wildlife such as fish and turtles to obtain nutrients, which include proteins, fats, minerals, and rare mutants. Players can also attack humans by wreaking havoc along the coast, destroying yachts and ships, and knocking people off jet skis. Once the player has acquired enough nutrients, the shark must enter underwater caves to unlock new abilities and increase in size, allowing the shark to overpower larger, more deadly creatures. The shark will slowly evolve into an adult megalodon, and players can acquire advanced upgrades and customization options such as exoskeleton plates, shadow armor, and electromagnetic spikes to enhance the shark's combat capabilities.
