Explore, craft, and survive in this multiplayer RPG with permadeath! Featuring many roguelike elements, Magicite randomly generates each underground dungeon for you and your friends to delve into. Chop trees, mine minerals, and hunt monsters to gather the resources and materials you need to survive in the harsh and unforgiving environment. With tons of character traits, stats, companions, and classes, players will have a different experience each time they play! Be prepared to die... a lot.
Magicite's main influences were Monster Hunter and Spelunky. I loved gathering resources and crafting things in Monster Hunter, and of course, fighting giant monsters with my friends. Spelunky's brutal yet rewarding platforming was also something I wanted to capture in Magicite.
Key Features:
Randomly Generated Dungeons – Experience a new dungeon each time you play. Expect plenty of trees to chop down, minerals to mine, plants to harvest, and insects to hunt! Oh, and giant monsters.
Permadeath – The game records all your stats each run, paving the way for achievements and upgrades.
Crafting System – Combine any two items to create a new item! For example, wood + wood = plank. There are tons of combinations to discover!
Combat System – If you just plan to run in and slash with your sword, you'll get destroyed. Take your time to craft useful items and examine the position of enemies before executing a thoughtful attack.
Unlockable Races, Hats, and Companions – The more you play, the more chances you have to unlock cool new hats with a variety of special effects. Races and Companions can also be unlocked to provide different starting items and stats!
Multiplayer – Want to put your friendships to the test? This is the game for it! Permadeath only occurs when the entire party is down. So if your friend is knocked out, don't hesitate to run to help him up. Or don't... Minimum
