Light Fairytale is a 3D turn-based JRPG
set in a dying underground world ruled by a fierce and powerful empire. The goal of this project is to recreate the immersion and emotion of 90s JRPGs on current hardware, with the expected advancements in design and technology.
Long ago, the world prospered. Technology and science were highly advanced, and people lived in great happiness and incredible exclusivity. However, this led to their doom when the world as they knew it was destroyed, seemingly in an instant, forever. Miserable
and heartbroken, the survivors of civilization sought refuge in the only viable habitat on the planet—deep underground. And so they stayed, and survived.
Thousands of years later, the surface history has been forgotten, consigned to dust, and the wealth of the past has been lost to time. Even the word "sky" has lost all meaning...
Then, one day, a young boy named Haruo awakens, fleeting dreams of vast green fields and a clear blue void locked in his memory; deeply embedded, unshakable... and compel him to learn what he saw.
Now, he must embark on a grand adventure to uncover the secrets of the lost world, confronting the rulers of these dystopian societies and beyond with the help of a mysterious silver-haired girl...
