The game is an interactive detective novel inspired by the noir films of the 1940s and 1950s. The game takes place in the 1940s, specifically in 1947 in Los Angeles, USA, near the end of World War II, where corruption and drug dealers are widespread. A series of murders and heinous crimes take place in Los Angeles, USA, where the hero , Cole Phelps , a former soldier in the army who rose in rank to join the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) , investigates these crimes in order to arrest the criminals. And restores stability to the city.
