, rejoice! Kung Fu Kings is developed primarily for fans of classic kung fu movies and is designed to be playable by casual to intermediate players, so anyone can jump in and have fun.
Players are challenged by a mysterious fighter named "Red Ronin" to take on the role of one of 14 martial artists and compete in a one-on-one tournament to prove their worthiness to win a lead role in the studio's next big movie.
Each fighter's style is inspired by actual moves used in martial arts cinema, with their bodies as their weapons. Finely tuned for diverse and unique ways to physically destroy, each style brings with it hundreds of attacks, counterattacks, blocks, and grapples, ranging from basic kicks and punches to advanced attacks and combinations to devastate their opponents.
Selectable characters include Tao Lung, a Chinese boxing master; Chen Fu, a Sugar Style master; Ron Jones, with his powerful Shuryun-ryu karate skills; Hou Feng, with his brutal and deadly Monkey Style fighting style; Lu Wei, a Shaolin master; Jun Do, at the peak of his kickboxing game; Gu Mao, a Hapkido champion; and Chang Tai, a Muay Thai master. Not to mention the White Horse, a Shotokan karate master; Lu Chi, a seasoned fighter; Ken Suguri, a master of both karate and ninjutsu; and Yuan Wong, with his blend of Wing Chun and various kung fu styles. Also competing for stardom are two new performers: Jin Fury and Shen Wu.
