The puzzles are 2D puzzles that use chess and shogi pieces as a theme, and they resemble solitaire more than real-life chess or shogi. In-game help is always available, and the shogi pieces are colored differently so that anyone can easily remember them.
Jishogi is part puzzle, part walkthrough, and part visual novel. It's a heavily story-driven game with many important things to see and many decisions to make.
Otonashi Mayu is a strange girl who gets bullied. She's excellent at shogi, but she's very quiet, a little creepy, and dark rumors swirl around her like thick smoke. Her worst bully, Fifield, torments her regularly, and the game begins with the beginning of her worst act. Minimum
