Ulthurst was once a peaceful, God-fearing land until the Three Plagues of God came as prophesied by Saint Ezekiel, one of the Twelve Followers of the First Prophet. First came famine, which devastated the population. Then came plague, which added more unfortunate souls to the death toll. Finally, the great rains of fire came, and death fell upon sinner and innocent alike, as blood flooded the streets instead of water. In their despair, the people turned away from Holy Mother Church and sank into pagan decadence or succumbed to Satan's temptation. You have been assigned the office of Inquisitor. It is up to you to investigate crimes against the One True Faith and root out heresy—using any means necessary. As with all the best PC RPGs, the most important choices are yours to make.
