All levels contain at least one light crystal. You must protect the crystal(s). To protect a crystal, you must feed it with the souls you have collected from the enemies you have killed (you can do this by standing near the crystal and pressing RB on the controller or Space on the keyboard). To complete a level, you must salvage all the crystals in the level. If there is more than one crystal in the level, when you salvage one of them, the salvaged crystal becomes invulnerable.
