I Deserve a Happy Ending is
a fairytale-inspired, metafictional BL visual novel about a prince living inside an unfinished book. Rather than offering a commentary on fantasy or visual novels, the work celebrates interacting with and enjoying fairy tales. Once
upon a time, there was a prince who must perform a heroic deed in order to claim his rightful place as king, but he never did because the author of the book he lives in disappeared before he could finish the story. Now, with the help of the last person to pick up the book, the prince is determined to get a happy ending once and for all—and if it happens to involve one of the two handsome strangers who are the other main characters of the story, all the better.
