The story of the game takes place in the year 2027. Two years after the start of the Korean War and the beginning of the occupation, Robert Jacobs, a former combat helicopter pilot in the United States Marine Corps, wakes up in his apartment in Montrose , Colorado, and is ordered to go to a rehabilitation camp in Alaska . Robert Jacobs sees that Korean forces have taken control of the city , rounding up potentially important residents and executing resistance fighters. However, the bus carrying Robert Jacobs is ambushed by American resistance fighters Tom Pelphrey ( Connor ), a former Marine, and Hannah Cabell (Rianna), a hunting expert, who lead him to "Oasis," a resistance hideout founded by local State Patrolman Jim T. Coleman (Boone Karlson). Boone Karlson , Connor , and Rianna recognize Robert Jacobs ' successor as a pilot and recruit him to help recover fuel for the deployed American military forces. Boone Karlson begins the operation with himself, Robert Jacobs , Connor , Rianna , and Joel de la Fuente (Hopper) , a Korean-American tech expert. The group plans to steal several tracking beacons from a school being used as a labor exchange facility, with the help of "inside man " Scott Sowers ( Arnie). These beacons must be placed on fuel trucks so they can be tracked and hijacked.But Arnie betrays the team to protect his children, forcing the team to kill him and eliminate all the troops at the camp. They discover a mass grave on the school baseball field and narrowly escape Korean reinforcements by hiding among the corpses.
The rebels continue their attacks on the North Korean People's Army, attacking an occupied warehouse, where Robert Jacobs, Connor, and Rianna successfully locate the trucks and plant a beacon on one of them. They return to the oasis, only to find that Boone Karlson and all the base's residents have been discovered and killed by the North Korean forces. They also discover that the North Korean Air Force is attacking a nearby town beyond the wall, in retaliation for the raid the night before . The group narrowly escapes with other resistance fighters by breaching the town's surrounding walls, as the team has information that a suitable helicopter is located at a survival camp in Utah . As the camp residents act violently toward both Koreans and Americans, the team infiltrates the camp and manages to steal a helicopter, from which they pursue and hijack the fuel convoy. With Robert Jacobs providing air support , the team continues their journey to San Francisco, where they deliver jet fuel to aid the U.S. military there, where the U.S. military begins its West Coast counteroffensive to retake San Francisco. Launching an attack from the Marines, they successfully recapture most of the Golden Gate Bridge with ground personnel, AA guns, and fighter aircraft. As U.S. Marine reinforcements arrive, near the San Francisco side of the bridge, the Americans find themselves under the control of a large North Korean battalion. Although the ground forces had captured and reprogrammed the Korean People's Army's ground-based air defenses, achieving air superiority over the US air forces, the US aircraft could not determine the location of the strike due to smoke, debris, and confusion. Realizing they were at a critical turning point, Connor lit a flare, advanced on foot toward the enemy convoy, and ordered an airstrike on their position, sacrificing himself to ensure that the US ground forces could retake the city. European media reported on the successful operation, and the counterattack in the Gulf region proved to be a major turning point in the US guerrilla war against the GKR occupation. With the capture of San Francisco, many West Coast cities are returned to US hands, and the army launches a counter-offensive to retake the occupied countries.With these victories, the European Union Defense Council called an emergency meeting, thus declaring war on the Greater Republic of Korea, and then planning began to launch an attack to eliminate the Korean People's Army from the United States of America.
