Meet history with future technology, and educate yourself through play. The LZ 129 Hindenburg was a large commercial passenger airship from Germany. It was designed and built by the Zeppelin Company in Friedrichshafen. Actual construction of duralumin girders began in 1931. Upon completion, the LZ-129 was 804 feet (245 meters) long, 135 feet (41 meters) in diameter, and had a total gas capacity of 7,062,000 cubic feet (200,000 m³) of hydrogen. The ship was named Hindenburg—after Paul von Hindenburg, the President of Germany—and to this day remains the largest aircraft ever flown. Minimum system requirements :
