The Lord of Death has been resurrected. The powerful mage who holds your blood-signed contract can no longer survive the power they drain from the entities they have bound across the dimensions. Becoming more powerful than death itself, he sends his army of cultists to kill the entities and amass enough power to overthrow a god.
You do not need to comply with the contract. In the different dimensions of existence, you can choose to kill or befriend the bound entities, changing the ending of your story. Will you be a harsh judge, doling out pain and death? Or will you instead find points of affinity and friendship?
