Guitar Hero Smash Hits is a spin -
off of the Guitar Hero series that features a collection of songs from previous installments in the series, including Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. The game's tracklist now supports four players in a full band setting (introduced in the Guitar Hero World Tour series), an 8-player band battle setting, all songs are now original recordings from the real artists, and all are playable in quick play mode without having to complete a career first.
