You play as the Severing Oath hero, protecting the crystal core against waves of golems. The ultimate goal of each map is to destroy the enemy crystal core by building golems while defending your own crystal core. Golems are made up of three elements: body, shield, and armor. Each element can be built from different elements. There are five main elements that can be combined into a new element. This way, over 27,000 unique golems with different properties can be built. To defend your crystal core, you can build defensive towers or take matters into your own hands and cut down golems with a great sword.
The basic gameplay revolves around five main elements interacting with each other. Water destroys fire. Fire destroys metal. Metal destroys wood. Wood destroys earth, and earth destroys water. Thus, completing a cycle of destruction. But before something can be destroyed, it must first be created. Water creates wood. Wood creates fire. Fire creates earth.
